About
I'm Levi Whitted, and Sonoma Solutions is the studio I run. I help small and mid-sized organizations and university departments with the things that decide whether people find and use their information online: search visibility, AI-assisted workflows, accessibility remediation for sites and documents, and the websites underneath all of it. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, working with clients in Sonoma County and remotely.
My background is in production AI engineering, the kind of work where the output has to be correct and inspectable, not just a flashy demo. That discipline is what you get whether I'm tuning your search visibility, setting up an intake system, remediating a pile of PDFs, or building you a website: things that ship, keep working, and are documented so you own them.
A few examples of the work: an independent UC Berkeley document accessibility demonstration; the PDF remediation engine behind it; Emissary, our AI intake assistant; and a structured knowledge engine built for an SEO analytics platform. The full set, with each entry labeled by what you can inspect for yourself, is on the portfolio.
What we do, and how we work
The fastest way to know whether this is a fit is to see the work and the terms side by side.
What we do
- Search visibility. Technical SEO, local SEO, structured data, and answer engine optimization: the work that decides whether Google ranks you and whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI name you.
- AI systems and automation. Intake assistants, data pipelines, scrapers, and integrations between the tools you already pay for. Built with evaluation and audit logging, so you can see why the system did what it did.
- Accessibility remediation and testing. Website audits and PDF document remediation against agreed Web Content Accessibility Guidelines criteria, with documented automated testing and human review included when the scope requires it.
- Websites. Fast static sites and landing pages, accessible by default, built so they are cheap to host and quick to change.
How we work
- Real remediation, never an overlay. Overlay widgets sit on top of a site without fixing the underlying code, so they do not make you conform, and overlay vendors have themselves been named in accessibility lawsuits. We fix the actual site and the actual documents.
- Scope and price agreed before anything starts. Ongoing work is welcome, and it is still defined work at a defined price rather than an invoice you cannot trace to anything.
- You know the delivery team. The proposal identifies who is responsible for implementation, review, and any specialist support before the work begins.
- Documented, or it isn't finished. If your team could not run it without us, we are not done yet.
If you are weighing something that isn't listed here, just ask. A straight answer costs you one email.
