AI voice agents | Sonoma County, California
Stop letting the right calls wait.
We scope and build AI phone intake for service businesses with a clear call type, a clear handoff to a person, and a real place for the details to go. Before anything goes live, we define what it can handle, what it must escalate, and how you will check the result.
What an AI voice agent can handle
Answer and identify the reason for the call
Capture service type, location, urgency, and the details your office needs before anyone calls back. The questions are set by your workflow, not by a template, and the agent stays inside them.
Route the right calls to the right place
Send defined calls to a person, an on-call path, a booking workflow, or a structured follow-up queue. Emergency rules and exceptions are written down and tested before launch, not discovered afterward.
Keep the record useful after the call
Deliver a short summary and the agreed fields to wherever your team already works. Integrations are scoped separately and only where the workflow genuinely supports them.
This may be a fit if
- You can name the calls that create the most delay or lost follow-up
- Your team has a person, queue, or defined process for calls that need a human
- You can set boundaries for urgent, sensitive, and out-of-scope conversations
- You want to start with one constrained workflow and measure it before expanding
Where a person takes over
- Emergency dispatch and any call where a delay carries safety risk
- Clinical triage, medical advice, or intake that turns on protected health information
- Legal advice or case screening
- Any workflow with no named owner to escalate to when the agent stops being useful
- Businesses that have not yet decided whether phone or text should come first. The readiness sprint answers that before anything is built.
What we can and cannot show you yet
A voice agent is not a chatbot with a phone number. The work is the call map, the handoff rules, the failure behavior, and the test cases written before launch. We have not yet deployed a voice agent for a client, so we will not show you one. What we can show is production AI intake and workflow engineering: Emissary is an AI intake assistant we built and run, and the portfolio has event-driven email operations, document pipelines, and eval-tested AI builds. Before you put anything in front of a customer, you see the proposed call path, the escalation rules, and the test script.
Questions about AI phone intake
Start with the calls that should not wait.
Bring a recent example of a missed or delayed call, your current handoff process, and the call type you would want to test first. We will tell you whether a constrained voice workflow is worth scoping, or whether text or process work should come first.
